A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2025-2026 school year in a K-12 educational setting located in Waterbury, CT. This contract opportunity involves a caseload primarily focused on high school students, encompassing a diverse group of 35 students, including 19 students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other individual and multiple disabilities.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy services to assigned students, tailoring interventions to individual needs. Collaborate with paraeducators and other support staff to enhance student progress. Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including individualized treatment plans and progress reports. Participate in team meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning and reviews. Utilize teletherapy techniques where appropriate to support student learning and communication skills. Desired Qualifications: Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC). Experience providing teletherapy services. Previous experience working within a school setting. Ability to manage a diverse caseload, including students with ASD and multiple disabilities. Effective communication and organizational skills. Familiarity with state and federal regulations regarding special education services. Work Schedule: Full-time commitment of 37.5 hours per week. Contract duration aligned with the standard school calendar for the 2025-2026 academic year. Support Structure: Paraeducator assistance provided to facilitate therapy sessions and student engagement.
