Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
to work with students in the
Port Angeles area during the
20252026 academic year . This is a
full-time, in-person
role, but
part-time availability will be considered
for the right candidate. REPORTS TO: Director of Special Education SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday | 7.5 hours/day JOB SUMMARY:
The SLP will provide direct therapy and assessment services for middle and high school students in
Port Angeles and participate in collaborative support with educators and staff throughout the cooperative special services districts. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to make an impact in a smaller, close-knit school community. Start Date:
September 2nd, 2025
End Date:
June 12th, 2026 (subject to snow make-up days)
Setting:
In-person required
Caseload: 45students with a range of disabilities
Preferred:
Previous experience in school settings
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Washington ESA certificate with SLP endorsement (or eligibility to obtain)
Federal Criminal Background Check clearance
Strong skills in evaluation, intervention, and IEP documentation
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Demonstrated passion for supporting diverse student needs
Ability to build rapport with students, families, and colleagues
Knowledge of IDEA, state regulations, and school-based service delivery
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Deliver targeted therapy services to students in accordance with IEPs
Conduct initial and re-evaluations as needed
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success
Maintain regular communication with staff and families
Provide support and consultation to classroom teachers
Contribute to a positive and inclusive educational environment
Monitor and document student progress
