Key Responsibilities: Assist teachers in implementing instructional plans and classroom activities. Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with diverse learning needs. Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Support student behavior management and encourage positive social interactions. Assist with preparing instructional materials and classroom organization. Collaborate with educators and support staff to monitor student progress and adapt strategies as needed. Qualifications and Experience: Experience working in educational or childcare settings preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, flexibility, and a genuine commitment to helping students succeed. Ability to follow instructional guidance and work as part of a team. Understanding of K-12 student development and diverse learning styles is an asset. Relevant paraprofessional certification or training is beneficial but not always required. Location and Duration: Position is based in Augusta, Maine. The role supports the entire school year (NSY) through a contractual agreement.
