An opportunity is available for a full-time Occupational Therapist to support elementary school students in a structured educational environment. This role focuses on helping children develop the skills necessary to participate fully in classroom activities, spanning fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care abilities.

Located in Des Plaines, IL, this position involves working an average of 37.5 hours per week from August 7, 2025, through May 22, 2026, in a contract role at one elementary school serving both self-contained and resource students. Key Responsibilities: Facilitate students ability to engage alongside their peers by addressing motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care needs. Modify classroom tasks and environmental factors to support individual student needs effectively. Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing to assess student progress and challenges. Produce clear, comprehensive reports from assessments and observations, providing actionable insights. Develop and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives and accommodations tailored to each student. Collaborate closely with parents, teachers, and other team members to communicate student progress and plan interventions. Qualifications: Must hold or be eligible to hold a current Illinois state license for Occupational Therapy. Exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrate flexibility and problem-solving capabilities in dynamic educational settings.
