Note:

This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located onsite in the southeast, southwest, or central United States. Travel will likely be required. Duties and Responsibilities

Perform complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriological tests. Examine and analyze body fluids and cells; match blood for transfusions. Familiarity with the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) requirements for blood product maintenance. Analyze chemical content of fluids and test for drug levels in blood. Prepare specimens, count cells, and identify abnormal cells in blood and body fluids. Analyze test results and communicate findings to physicians. Culture body fluids and tissues to detect microorganisms. Analyze samples for chemical content and determine concentrations like blood glucose and cholesterol. Evaluate test results, develop and modify procedures, and monitor quality assurance programs. Use universal safety precautions to handle biohazardous materials safely. Order supplies, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and manage lab equipment and records. Provide supervision or act as Lead, guiding other technologists and technicians. Perform other duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications

Completion of a formal Medical Technology training program leading to a Bachelor's Degree. Certification by AMT, ASCP, or NCA. Current BLS certification. Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Medical Technologist. At least 1 year of experience in a Lead role. Recent clinical experience in direct patient care (minimum 6 of last 12 months). Ability to multitask, be detail-oriented, organized, and communicate effectively. Proficiency in computers and MS Office. Flexibility to adapt to shift changes and operational needs. Strong problem-solving skills. Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Physical Requirements and Work Conditions
