Job Opportunity: Barista (Part-Time) At Omni Viking Lakes Hotel

This destination is located in the 200-acre Viking Lakes mixed-use development, home to the Minnesota Vikings headquarters, Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center, and TCO Stadium. Easily accessible from downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul, the Mall of America, and airport, with additional uses for the planned development to include corporate offices, retail, restaurants, and entertainment. The Omni Viking Lakes Hotel is seeking a barista. This position is responsible for day-to-day coffee market operations and providing extraordinary customer service to guests, members, and associates. Salary for this position starts at: $16.00/hour. Omni Viking Lakes Hotel reserves the right to pay more or less than listed compensation scale based on factors not related to sex or race. Responsibilities include: Opening or closing the outlet as assigned. Producing quality beverages for customers. Maintaining assigned bank each shift. Supporting new Omni safe and clean protocols throughout the spa. Alerting F&B Manager of any inventory shortages or ordering needs. Following up on daily projects to ensure follow through. Assisting with physical inventory when needed. Maintaining a clean work area. Maintaining general knowledge of the hotel. Completing other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications include: Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English. Previous customer service experience is strongly preferred. Scheduling flexibility, including willingness to work weekends and holidays. General knowledge of cash handling and point of sale systems is preferred. Must have and maintain current Texas food handlers certification. Physical requirements: Must be able to lift and move moderate weights. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Working environment: Indoor resort building in coffee market and retail locations. Occasional outdoor tasks and travel around property when needed. Tools & equipment: Computer, printer, telephone, cleaning supplies, Micros, Microsoft Office programs - vets/disability.
