Overview

OpenShift Architect Houston, TX We are seeking a client-facing OpenShift Architect to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of container platform solutions for enterprise customers. This role involves working directly with client teams to assess legacy environments, define architecture strategy, and guide the adoption of Red Hat OpenShift as the foundation for container-based application delivery. Key Responsibilities

Design and architect end-to-end OpenShift solutions (on-prem, cloud, or hybrid) Lead platform installation, configuration, and tuning for performance, scalability, and security Conduct platform assessments, gap analysis, and develop migration strategies from legacy systems Integrate OpenShift with enterprise systems (e.g., identity providers, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools) Provide hands-on guidance during implementation and operationalization phases Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to enable cloud-native transformation Document architecture decisions, technical runbooks, and knowledge transfer to client teams Serve as a trusted advisor and technical leader to stakeholders throughout the engagement Required Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift (3.x and/or 4.x) architecture and operations Proficiency in Kubernetes, Linux (RHEL), and container runtimes (e.g., CRI-O, Docker) Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., GitOps, ArgoCD, Jenkins, Tekton, Ansible) Familiarity with networking, storage, security, and observability in containerized environments Ability to assess, troubleshoot, and optimize production OpenShift clusters Excellent communication and client-facing consulting skills Preferred Qualifications

Red Hat certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift, RHCA) Experience migrating from traditional platforms (e.g., WebSphere, JBoss) to OpenShift Familiarity with Operators, Helm, and Kubernetes-native patterns Background in middleware, CI/CD pipeline automation, or application modernization Engagement Details
