At Roseway Veterinary Hospital you will be part of a practice that focuses on gold standard medicine and continuous improvement. Our hospital offers preventative medicine (examinations, vaccinations, spays/neuters, dental procedures) as well as a variety of soft tissue surgeries. Our modern hospital features state-of-the-art technology, including digital radiography (dental included), in-house lab capabilities, and advanced surgical protocols and equipment (such as an Aesculight CO2 Laser). Responsibilities
Veterinary Duties (80-90%) Perform duties included in the associate Veterinarian job description. Achieve specific production goals as elected in hospitals annual planning. Maintain veterinary excellence by attending annual CE, striving for continuous improvement, and leading innovation within the veterinary team.
Medical Director Duties (10-20%)
Consistently role model Medical Excellence, setting the example for the highest quality of medicine, client service, education, and efficiency. Develop relationships with doctors to support engagement, retention, medical and surgical skill development, and leadership. Manage veterinarians, including performance discussions, reviews, hiring/firing/discipline, and corrective actions. Provide ongoing coaching for the veterinary team, including production report and PCT review. Support Practice Manager in establishing doctor schedules to meet client needs. Participate in interviews for associate veterinarians and other staff as needed. Attend annual MVP conferences and participate in networking events as appropriate. Attend hospital staff and leadership meetings as appropriate. Hold monthly hospital doctor meetings covering topics such as product selection, laboratory strategy, and medical education. Promote teamwork, recruit and mentor staff, and supervise internship/externship programs. Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and DEA regulations with respect to controlled substances.
