Junior Cloud Engineer Job Category: Information Technology. Time Type: Full time. Minimum Clearance Required to Start: None. Employee Type: Regular. Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% (Local Travel). CACI is seeking a Junior Cloud Engineer to join our cloud operations team supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The Junior Cloud Engineer will assist in supporting applications hosted on the AWS and Azure Gov Cloud environment and maintenance of Windows and Linux server operating systems. The role includes designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native applications and managing small- and large-scale cloud solutions as part of Operations and Maintenance activities. The Junior Cloud Engineer identifies scalable solutions using coding, scripting, programming, and automation with cloud-native tools to create optimized cloud solutions, including integrating cloud services, automating deployment and operations, ensuring security and compliance, monitoring, and performance optimization. It also involves collaboration with cross-functional teams of subject matter experts, technical personnel, and project management personnel. Responsibilities

The Junior Cloud Engineer is responsible for cloud operations and maintenance. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Support senior engineers in the design and development of applications optimized for cloud environments, leveraging cloud-native technologies such as AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, or Google Cloud Functions to handle business logic, data processing, and integration with databases and external systems. Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code using programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#. Learn to integrate cloud services and APIs into applications to leverage infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS). Assist with the deployment of cloud services such as compute instances, databases, storage, messaging, and identity and access management (IAM) to meet application requirements. Support the automated deployment, provisioning, and management of applications and infrastructure using tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, or Google Cloud Deployment Manager. Assist with the implementation of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to streamline development and operations processes. Monitor system performance and availability and assist in identifying issues or optimization opportunities for applications hosted in the AWS and Azure cloud environments on Windows and Linux server operating systems. Participate in planning and documentation efforts related to system upgrades and deployments using a project-based timeline. Collaborate with senior engineers to apply appropriate security measures to properly safeguard government systems by implementing industry standard best practices and ensure compliance with DHS standards. Qualifications

Required: Ability to obtain TS/SCI DoD Security Clearance (active TS preferred) Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry on Duty (EOD) - Active EOD preferred BA/BS and a minimum of 5 years experience in a related field, or equivalent (equivalency includes MA + 2 years applicable experience or AA + 7 years applicable experience) At least one Azure or AWS certification Demonstrated experience with designing and developing cloud applications using cloud-native tools Demonstrated experience with programming and infrastructure automation (JSON, YAML, Python, Terraform, Ansible) Demonstrated experience implementing Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) for various systems Demonstrated experience with core cloud services to include DevSecOps, monitoring, data visualization, and environment management services Experience with Microsoft Project, JIRA, and Confluence Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Advanced MS Office Suite proficiency (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Teams) Desired: Previous DHS or DoD experience Any of the following certifications is highly desired:

AWS Azure ITIL Foundation Other IT technical certifications

The proposed salary range for this position is: $94,400 - $198,200. CACI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
