The

Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor

assists the Director of Nursing by planning, developing, organizing, and coordinating the day-to-day functions of the nursing department. Major Duties and Critical Tasks:

Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services for residents on the assigned floor. Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies and procedures. Reviews complaints and grievances filed by staff and makes appropriate reports to the Director of Nursing as required. Maintains an adequate stock of medications, medical supplies, and equipment to meet residents' needs and notifies appropriate personnel of needs. Assists in developing assessments of the nursing needs of each resident. Makes nursing and aide assignments as indicated. Encourages staff participation in outside training programs and schedules training sessions as appropriate. Education and Experience:

A nursing degree from an accredited college or university. Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing direct care in long-term care, restorative, or geriatric settings. Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a nursing supervisor, preferably in a nursing home setting. Current CPR Certification. Must meet state licensure or certification requirements and have no disciplinary actions against professional license.
