Network Administrator, Senior Analyst, Tucson, AZ onsite at Raytheon. This role requires an active DoD Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship. The position is onsite in Tucson, AZ in classified computing areas (Collateral Program Areas). Relocation eligibility is provided per policy. What you will Do
Maintains smooth operation of voice and data networks. Plans, evaluates, coordinates, and performs installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network. Developing technical expertise in all areas of voice and data networks hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as switches, routers, firewalls, authentication servers, encryptors, etc. Work with network management software platforms. Propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings aligning with future requirements factoring in redundancy and required network uptime. Prepare or ensure appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions, technical diagrams, and other documentation. Where no documentation exists, assist in developing documentation. Provide regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems. Assist with coordination of third-party maintenance for network equipment or with vendors for third-party support. Willingness and availability to work outside normal business hours (evenings and weekends) as needed. Must be able to work with general supervision and follow established procedures. Apply your Network Engineering skills to defense-oriented programs. Obtain Certifications in Security+ within 6 months and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is highly desired within a year. Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelors degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or 6 total years of relevant experience in lieu of degree. (AS degree with 4 years experience also considered; Advanced degree with list than 2 years experience). Experience in configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and/or intrusion detection systems, including software upgrades. Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer
Certifications in Security+ within 6 months and CCNA is highly desired within a year. Experience with Cisco ISE, 802.1X, SolarWinds, and setting up client-server environments for government networks. Experience with current cabling and fiber standards. Experience with access control lists, security posture, and vendor best practices. Experience with Visio diagramming and design capabilities. 1-2 years of experience with network management software. Willingness to travel domestically as needed. Knowledge of encryption devices configuration and troubleshooting. Effective customer service skills, including oral and written communications. Experience with platforms such as IP telephony, NTP servers, GemOne, and SolarWinds. Ability to work under time constraints. Experience with classified computing, STIG compliance, and network refreshes. Current DoD Top Secret security clearance. What We Offer
