Software Application Test Engineer

The role involves collaborating with other engineers to develop solutions throughout the systems engineering lifecycle, ensuring high levels of availability, performance, and security. Responsibilities Communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Work independently or collaboratively within a small team. Adapt to a dynamic, changing environment. Provide detailed analysis and technical support for large, distributed Java-based systems. Perform problem resolution, design, development, testing, and user support for extensive codebases. Follow specifications to develop or modify system functionalities. Assist with design, benchmarking, debugging, and documentation. Coordinate with support groups to resolve issues and improve system efficiency. Design, develop, test, and deploy automation tools.

Qualifications

Experience with command and control system application development. Experience with message translation software. Background in automated testing and pipeline development. Development experience on Unix/Linux and Windows platforms. Proficiency in software integration testing, including automated scripts. Knowledge of Risk Management Framework, STIG, and Fortify mitigation strategies. Experience designing and deploying microservices with containers.

Education & Certifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 0-2 years of related experience. Active SECRET clearance required.
