We are looking for a skilled and dependable Warehouse Handyman to maintain the facility within our accounts. The ideal candidate will have experience in general maintenance, including painting, plumbing, and mechanical repairs. This role requires a proactive individual who can troubleshoot issues and ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse facilities, including plumbing, painting, and structural components.
- Inspect and maintain warehouse equipment, such as equipment, loading docks, and racking systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
- Repair and replace damaged doors, flooring, shelving, and other warehouse structures.
- Assist in setting up and installing new equipment and workstations.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Monitor inventory of maintenance supplies and request restocking as needed.
- Respond quickly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, or similar role in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing, painting, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Experience with equipment repair and warehouse machinery maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform hands-on repairs.
- Valid driver’s license (if applicable).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in a trade (e.g., electrical, HVAC, plumbing) is a plus.
- OSHA or safety training certification.
- Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution center environment.
