Overview

The Market in the Square is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our Bakery department as an Overnight Baker.

Responsibilities

• Produce various baked goods by following set recipes and department standards
• Mix, measure, cut, roll, press, proof, bake, fry, fill and frost bakery products as necessary
• Maintain clean, safe and sanitary bakery area and equipment
• Ensure stocking and rotation of all bakery products and supplies
• Utilize equipment, such as ovens, mixers, sheeters, fryers, scales, slicers and wrappers

Physical Requirements

• Requires standing, walking, bending, climbing throughout the entire workday

• Weekend and holiday work will be required; flexible hours

Education and Work Experience

• Must be at least 18 years of age

Requirements

• Previous baking experience preferred
• Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures
• Requires standing, walking, bending, and/or climbing throughout the entire work day
• Repetitive arm and hand movements; bending, carrying, and lifting
• Requires transferring product either horizontally or vertically of up to 50 pounds
• Weekend, evening, and holiday work will be required; flexible store assignments and hours

Daily Schedule

Overnights (typically starting between 8 and 9 pm); flexible schedule

Salary

$15.50 - 20.00 / hour, depending on qualifications and experience
