Position Overview:

Our Client is seeking an experienced Contract to Hire Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations and ensure accuracy in reporting and compliance. This role will manage day-to-day accounting functions, lead a team of accounting professionals, and contribute to financial strategy and decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll functions.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement internal controls and policies to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company regulations.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations, including tax filings and reporting requirements.
  • Utilize accounting software and systems to optimize efficiency and accuracy in financial processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of team development and performance management.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to stakeholders.
  • Experience in payroll processing or financial services is a plus.
