We are seeking a part-time Accounting Clerk to assist our Greenville, SC office. The ideal candidate will have an accounting background, strong Excel skills, and be able to work within a close Accounting and Finance team as well as the larger operations team. This position will function in office and work within normal business hours.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Process invoices for payment; prints and mails accounts payable checks
• Process payments to carrier and/or factor companies
• Deposit checks received
• Maintain carrier profiles in system
• Perform data entry and spreadsheet management
• Verify load rates to factor companies phone requests
• Reconcile A/R Overpayment Credits GL account
• Maintain accounts payable files and records
• Respond to vendor, carrier, factor company, and employee inquiries regarding invoices, expenses, and check requests; assist with discrepancy reconciliation
• Assist with monthly closings, journal entries, and bank statement reconciliation
• Assist with related special projects as needed
  
  

Skills/Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Accounting or Business preferred
• Strong MS Office skills; proficient in Excel; 10-key by touch
• Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts
• Organized, process oriented, acute attention to detail
• Commitment to excellence and high standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
