Job Title:Senior Manager of Cybersecurity
Job Summary:
Packsize is seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior Manager of Cybersecurity to lead and mature our global cybersecurity posture. In this role, you will collaborate across business units and regions to implement effective security controls, drive risk management initiatives, and ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements. As a senior leader, you will champion a “security-first” culture, oversee security operations, and directly manage cybersecurity's projects, assessments, and incident response activities to protect Packsize’s information assets and technology infrastructure.
What You’ll do:
Develop and execute a forward-thinking cybersecurity strategy that aligns with business goals and risk tolerance, ensuring the protection of Packsize systems, data, and products.
Provide expert guidance and actionable recommendations to executive leadership on cybersecurity investments, risk mitigation, and incident response planning.
Collaborate with IT, Product, and Engineering teams to embed security best practices into network, infrastructure, application, and product development lifecycles.
Oversee the implementation and ongoing management of security controls, standards, and policies across the organization, introducing new standards as required.
Manage the cybersecurity compliance program, including the development of metrics and reporting frameworks to measure and communicate program effectiveness and maturity to leadership and the board.
Lead information security risk assessments for vendors, third parties, and new business initiatives; evaluate contracts and coordinate security reviews for projects involving Packsize data and systems.
Monitor and track the resolution of security exposures, vulnerabilities, and noncompliance, escalating issues and leading investigations as needed.
Coordinate and execute security awareness and training programs in partnership with Learning & Career Development, measuring their effectiveness and driving continuous improvement.
Monitor the external threat landscape, stay abreast of emerging trends, and recommend new cybersecurity solutions and technologies to strengthen Packsize’s defenses.
Prepare and manage cybersecurity budgets, resources, and staffing, optimizing the allocation to meet organizational needs.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing cybersecurity team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring:
Security Evangelist: Ability to drive a “security-first” mindset and communicate a clear cybersecurity vision across the organization.
Risk Management: Demonstrated success in risk identification, assessment, and mitigation in previous leadership roles.
Communication: Excellent at translating complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior executives and board members.
Collaborative Leadership: Proven ability to influence and build consensus in a matrixed organization, working effectively across teams and geographies.
Analytical and Project Management: Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple projects, budgets, and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Results-Oriented: Proactive, self-motivated, and accountable for delivering results and continuous improvement.
Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of security architecture, infrastructure, application security, and modern security tools and practices.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Experience working with third-party providers, consultants, and partners to extend and enhance cybersecurity capabilities.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
10+ years of progressive security experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Strong knowledge of security architecture for applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
Experience developing and executing security strategy and programs in a global enterprise.
Proficiency in security hardware and software, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, encryption, and vulnerability management tools.
Familiarity with leading information security frameworks (ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, ITIL, COBIT??) and regulatory compliance requirements.
Experience in vendor risk management and third-party security assessments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP) strongly preferred.
