Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to enhance and streamline the assembly processes for our optoelectronic products. This role involves improving product consistency, conducting experiments to refine production methods, and ensuring high-quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine production methods for assembling camera and laser sensor systems.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, including PFMEAs, control plans, and work instructions.
  • Set and monitor statistical quality targets such as SPC and Cpk.
  • Analyze production data to identify and resolve causes of defects or inefficiencies.
  • Design custom tools and automation software solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001/AS9100, ITAR/EAR, and customer-specific standards.
  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing-related defects in products or processes, including implementing Kaizen and 5S methodologies.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
  • 3–5+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with automation and fixture/tooling design.
  • Familiarity with Python programming.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experience with statistical process control and lean manufacturing principles.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Background in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Understanding of software-hardware integration.
  • Experience working with lasers and cameras.

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and requires a high level of independence. The position involves working with advanced manufacturing technologies and tools, including automation and custom fixtures. Compliance with industry standards such as ISO 9001/AS9100 and ITAR/EAR is essential.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $57.70/hr.
