Position Summary

**WE ARE ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION FROMALL STUDENTS REGARDLESS OF WORK STUDY AWARD** Academic Technologies is seeking responsible,self-motivated students that demonstrate leadership, aptitude, and initiativeto provide assistance and training on a wide variety of technology inclassrooms across campus to students, faculty, and staff. Successful candidateswill demonstrate excellent customer service skills and an interest intechnology support, customer service, and teaching. This position providessupport for walk in requests, over the phone requests, and requests fromwithin the UNM Service Now system. Must possess the ability to work independently, organizetime efficiently, and communicate professionally with faculty, staff, andstudents. Applicants should be able to take the initiative to solve problems ontheir own as well as request help as needed. Applicants may be asked toparticipate in projects, which may include technology testing, maintenance,or deployment of new classroom environments. Duties andresponsibilities include: Provides technical support and trainingfor technology in classrooms and computer pods. Routine maintenance and testing ofclassroom technology. Provide immediate responseto requests from both walk ins and phone calls. Troubleshooting software and hardwareissues including resolving and triaging issues in the help system. Proficient in basic clerical skills andwilling to use work time to learn and expand one’s knowledge. May be expected to performadministrative tasks. Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, atleast half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters. Preferred Qualifications: Experiencein customer service. Abilityto work in a team environment. Experienceinstructing customers and working with faculty. Experiencesupporting and troubleshooting computers or AV systems.
