Position Summary
The Unit Specialist will directly supervise addicted clients. Provide continuity of program services in an ethical, legal and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. Provide direct counseling services including individual, case management, group and lecture activities on a daily basis. Participate as a team member in the delivery of addictions treatment services to clients and their families and to facilitate the issues of recovery into their daily living situations. Responsibilities
Direct counseling services including individual, group and lectures to clients and families. Supervise addicted clients in a safe, therapeutic environment. Coordinate and present lectures for patients, parents and community resources. Coordinate and supervise client recreational activities. Monitor clients and develop/implement individual treatment plans with the addiction counselor, including AA step work and treatment plan objectives. Maintain client service records in compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations. Develop and present all client lectures listed on the client lecture schedule. Observe, monitor, and record group dynamics; facilitate focal group discussion sessions. Participate in daily therapeutic direction with the treatment team; read logs and gather pertinent information from staff of previous shifts. Ensure unit neatness and proper use of equipment and supplies; request repairs as needed. Serve as a member of the Clinical Team and participate in all team meetings and activities. Comply with the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct. Perform responsibilities in alignment with Rosecrance mission, vision, values, and expectations. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED One year of addiction treatment experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience Valid driver’s license Certified Addictions Counselor (CADC) or able to be certified within 24 months Skilled in behavioral management techniques Ability to coordinate and present lectures for patients, parents and community resources A passion to be part of a mission-driven organization Teamwork orientation A desire to make a difference in people’s lives Work hours prescribed by leadership and additional hours as needed for responsibilities Direct contact and counseling that includes supervision and management of client behavior with appropriate interventions Implement therapeutic activities Health and safety: read logs, obtain pertinent information from staff, and maintain documentation Schedule & Location

Based on education, experience, and credentials Starting pay HS/GED - $18.43/hr. Starting pay Associates - $19.37/hr. Additional $.50/hr. with CADC certification Shift Differentials 2nd shift:
