Description Position at Samtec, Inc IT Co Ops At Samtec, Co Ops work on real projects with direct impact on the business. You’ll collaborate with teams across the world, spanning many technologies. Co Ops are immediately involved in business-critical situations and are challenged to achieve their goals. The program is designed for you to do great work, learn, grow, and experience our unique culture with direct exposure to executives and memorable events.

All co-ops in the following programs have the opportunity to rotate between team programs based on the student’s interest, skillset, and Samtec needs. Cyber Security Team Co-ops on this team will gain knowledge in security tools such as Anti-Virus, Vulnerability Management, Security Awareness Training, and Security Operations. Co-ops will start on the Technical Support team before potentially joining the Cyber Security team. CS/EE Computer Science/Electrical Engineering co-ops will work in challenging areas at the intersection of AI/ML, data science, infrastructure systems, and software development, supporting manufacturing, engineering, and R&D. Rotations are based on current business needs and student expertise. Data Team The data team ensures the availability of accurate, actionable information for proactive business decisions. Rotation opportunities include roles as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Data Engineer, with potential rotations between the Data and Software Development teams. Software Development Team Software development interns will support applications powering Samtec’s enterprise, including sales, manufacturing, marketing, operations, and supply chain software. Roles include product owner, software engineer, and UCD designer, with rotation opportunities between the Data and Software Development teams. Technical Support Technical support is the frontline of IT, covering various technologies used daily. Co-ops serve as a bridge between users and system admins/engineers, gaining experience across multiple IT fields and building a strong foundation of IT principles.
