We are seeking a Director Emergency Services to become a part of our team!

Shifts: Days - 8hrs

Job Summary:

Direct the daily operations, strategic planning, and clinical services of the Emergency Department in alignment with system goals and standards. Cultivate a high-performing team culture by fostering collaboration, professional development, and a commitment to patient-centered care. Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders including EMS, trauma services, physician leadership, and community agencies. Oversee department budget, compliance, resource utilization, and performance improvement to ensure financial and operational excellence. As part of the hospital’s safety-net mission, the ED serves a five-county area with a wide range of urgent and complex care needs.

Responsibilities:

• Direct the daily operations, strategic planning, and clinical services of the Emergency Department in alignment with system goals and standards.
• Cultivate a high-performing team culture by fostering collaboration, professional development, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
• Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders including EMS, trauma services, physician leadership, and community agencies.
• Oversee department budget, compliance, resource utilization, and performance improvement to ensure financial and operational excellence.

​Qualifications:

• RN - Current State of California Registered Nurse license required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for Bachelor's Degree
• 5 years of clinical experience in the Emergency Services setting required
• 2 years of management experience required
• Experience in a Level I Trauma Center required
• Experience with Medical Education programs required
