Execute basic clinical competence in Sonography in all locations across all patient types. Select accurate equipment and technical factors on an individual patient basis and demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age of the patient. Apply knowledge of Sonography principles and practices, including anatomy and physiology, physics, positioning and patient care skills. Perform high level disinfecting procedures to meet organizational infection prevention standards. Adhere to Joint Commission, State, Federal and departmental regulatory compliance standards. Document accurate patient care activity in electronic health records systems. Ensure a safe and appropriate work environment. Maintain supplies and inventory in area. Inform appropriate colleague when supplies need to be ordered from outside vendors. Document and report related equipment/environmental problems in accordance with policy. Actively participate in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives and efforts to improve workflows, patient experience and quality. Actively participate in student and employee training and educational activities. Qualifications
Education
Graduation from an approved and accredited Ultrasound Educational Program Experience
No experience necessary Licensures/Certifications
RDMS Certification Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification Preferred Experience
