Qualifications
8-10+ years of R&D procurement, strategic sourcing, and category management experience. 6+ years supporting Pharma/R&D operations, with knowledge of clinical development and clinical operations. Preferred experience: Working in a GxP environment. Experience with clinical outsourcing and clinical trials is required. Understanding the lifecycle of clinical trials. Knowledge of the marketplace and category of clinical outsourcing, development, and pre-clinical activities within R&D. Act as a SME for strategic sourcing. Lead and set strategic direction for cross-functional sourcing programs within assigned categories. Coordinate and conduct review meetings with external partners and internal stakeholders. Support R&D study team’s supplier planning and lead key vendor engagements. Draft RFIs/RFPs, evaluate suppliers, and manage sourcing/contracting processes, including contract maintenance (e.g., MSAs, change orders). Identify cost-saving opportunities, develop initiatives, and track/report progress. Lead projects and perform additional duties as assigned. Education: Bachelor's Degree required; an advanced degree is desirable. Courses in advanced negotiations are a plus.
