Position Summary:
An independent insurance adjusting firm has immediate openings for remote Multi-Line Claims Adjusters. Candidates should have experience in both property and liability claims, capable of adjusting commercial and residential losses, understanding negligence, and assessing damages. The role requires performing tasks with minimal supervision, understanding coverage, investigating claims, estimating damages, and evaluating bodily injury damages for settlement. Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of first-party commercial and/or residential property and liability adjusting experience Proficiency with estimating software, preferably Xactimate Working computer, internet access, and Microsoft Word Strong time management and customer service skills Ability to take recorded statements in the field or with legal representatives Experience in preparing Statements of Loss, Proofs of Loss, and denial letters State adjuster’s license where required Valid driver’s license Knowledge and Skills:
Deep knowledge of property and liability insurance coverage and standards Ability to prepare detailed reports by collecting and summarizing information Strong verbal and written communication skills Reliable, prompt, and friendly service orientation Background check clearance; compliance with state regulations Experience in specialized areas (fire, agriculture, high-value buildings, construction defects, auto liability, subrogation) is a plus but not mandatory Responsibilities:
Conduct residential and commercial property inspections using Xactimate and general liability investigations to determine negligence and damages Obtain recorded statements from insureds, claimants, witnesses, and officials; inspect damages Recommend claim reserves based on investigations and well-supported reports Review official reports and interpret coverage forms and endorsements Provide thorough, well-documented initial reports to clients Maintain quality standards in line with client best practices Preferred but Not Required:
