Job Summary: The primary function of the Desktop Support position is to provide support to local and remote users and maintain equipment used to provide services. Responsibilities: Provide phone, remote access, and desktop support of Intel-based hardware and software systems. Track assigned tasks throughout the problem-solving lifecycle using the firm’s Service Desk ticketing system. Maintain accurate and timely service tickets. Perform basic printer services. Deploy PC hardware and software. Assist in new hire computer setup, configuration, and authentication. Serve as communication focal point between users and second-level engineers. Follow up with users to ensure satisfaction and escalate issues as needed. Set up technical aspects of conferences and meetings, operate media display equipment, and manage Microsoft Teams-based video systems. Provide paid on-call support to the firm on a rotation basis. Maintain licensing compliance and asset tracking databases for hardware and software. Reset security passwords. Serve as local data recovery expert for failed hard drives and PC systems. Assist users in managing approved wireless devices. Monitor local network servers. Participate in special projects as assigned by management. Have a basic understanding of networking cabling. Position is located in the firm’s New Orleans office; this is not a remote job. Travel to Data Center as needed. Assist during office build-outs and relocations. Must be well-organized. Supervision:

Received by Desktop Support Manager and Regional Office Manager. Minimum Qualifications: Resourceful team player with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software problems. Support experience with Windows OS (Windows 10/11), Microsoft Office 2016/O365, and antivirus products. Minimum 5 years helpdesk experience. Industry certifications like A+, MCP preferred. A+ and Network Essentials certifications expected within one year. Additional Qualifications: Knowledge of legal-specific applications such as iManage, Dragon Legal Dictation, Azure Virtual Desktop, Interaction, EverLaw, and Litera desktop is a plus. Working Conditions:

Sitting for long periods, occasional work beyond normal hours, minimal travel, ability to lift approximately 50 lbs., and mobility required. Position based in New Orleans; not remote.
