HR Generalist

Description

The HR Generalist plays a critical role in ASC's Human Resource Department. The candidate needs to be a versatile forward thinking HR professional that has a passion for all HR disciplines and can serve as a subject matter expert. This individual will also develop strong employee relations for the site.

How You Will Help
  • Provides a visible HR presence to enable / facilitate real time employee relations, engagement and solutions.
  • Contribute to the delivery of key HR processes (e.g. career development, performance support, employee movement, leadership coaching, union relations, benefits etc.)
  • Utilize HR metrics and people data to drive solutions based on trends and understand effectiveness
  • Develop solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation. Ensure solutions are consistent with organization objectives.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on majority of HR disciplines - a true generalist
  • Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.
  • Collaborate with the human resources team to develop effective recruitment strategies and identify future staffing needs.
  • Process complaints regarding sexual harassment, discrimination, or other instances of workplace harassment and assist in any necessary investigations and disciplinary actions
Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned. Employee must be able to obtain a tow motor license and successfully pass LOTO and confined space training.

What Will You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
  • 3-5 years demonstrated knowledge of the human resources field
  • Experience in a role utilizing business acumen and understanding
  • 3+ years' experience recruiting hourly roles.
  • Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook)
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred
