Production Manager Job Summary:

Production Manager Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business or related field
- 7 to 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 4 to 6 years in a management role required
- Experience in food, pharmaceuticals or other similar industries preferred
- Strong knowledge of blow molding, bottling, blending, or related manufacturing processes is highly desirable
- Proven ability to lead and develop direct production teams while also driving collaboration across cross-functional groups including Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Distribution to achieve overall plant goals in a 24/7 environment
- Thorough understanding of OSHA requirements; BRC/ISO/GMP preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions using KPI's
- Demonstrated Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies such as Kaizen and Six Sigma required
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production planning software
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as a group
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office 365, Excel and PowerPoint
- Able to challenge the status quo in a professional and respectful manner

- Oversee all aspects of 24/7 olive oil and vinegar blow molding and bottling processes to ensure consistency and product quality to meet customer demand and cost targets
- Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of production staff, including operators, technicians, line leads and supervisors
- Provide training, development, and performance management to ensure a skilled and competent workforce while fostering a collaborative and positive working environment, promoting teamwork and employee engagement
- Ensure all production operations adhere to health, safety and environmental regulations
- Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions where needed
- Promote a culture of safety and ensure all team members are trained properly in safety protocols
- Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions and utilize Safety 101 on an ongoing basis for safety concerns, incidents and corrective actions
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives on an ongoing basis to help future investments
- Develop strategies to minimize waste, reduce costs, improve efficiency, optimize production process, reduce downtime, and improve output using lean manufacturing techniques
- Collaborate with the planning and warehouse teams to create, manage, and execute the production schedule based on company needs, demand forecasts and production capacity
- Create KPI's to monitor production performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S) to improve overall plant efficiency
- Manage inventory levels of packaging materials including working with the warehouse team to ensure sufficient stock for production needs and to monitor consumption with manufacturing orders
- Work with Maintenance and CapEx to maintain equipment and improve production lines
- Monitor daily production metrics, and adjust processes as needed to improve production output, reduce downtime and improve changeover processes
- Manage ERP for production reporting and efficiency metrics, while suggesting improvements
- Work with Quality/R&D to develop and implement testing protocols for product bottling and packaging integrity
- Support all policies and procedures of Pompeian such as BRC, ISO, environmental, social and governance activities while assisting in communicating them to all subordinates and contractors
- Communicate effectively with all levels in the organization and collaborate with all departments to align production goals
- Must follow all safety rules, plant policies and GMP's
- Manage the Production budget including monitor expenses within budget, as well as assist in creating the forecast and budget for finance and other departments as needed
- Maintain an audit-ready work environment and assist during internal, customer, or third-party audits
- Performs duties in accordance with Pompeian's mission, goals and core values
