Sanitation Worker - Overnight at Amy’s Kitchen
Location: 221 Phil Meador Ave, Pocatello, ID
Shift: 3rd shift, 9:00 p.m. – 5:30 a.m.
Pay: $19.50/hour (includes $1.50/hour shift differential)
Overview
Join the Amy’s Kitchen team as a Sanitation Worker. In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in ensuring our food processing equipment, utensils, and facilities are spotless and up to industry standards, helping us deliver quality, safe products by keeping our environment clean and compliant.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform standard cleaning procedures as documented and trained for equipment and facilities (disassembly/assembly, application of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals, scrubbing, and rinsing).
- Use personal protective equipment as required for each cleaning task.
- Prepare and mix required cleaning agents as documented for each cleaning assignment.
- Follow correct handling procedures and operate equipment safely, including safety devices and guards.
- Follow lockout/tagout and safety procedures for each piece of equipment.
- Label chemicals and containers correctly and follow Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) plus required paperwork for daily and Master Sanitation programs.
- Remove trash from production, packaging lines, kitchen, and warehouse areas; dispose of trash and recycle materials properly.
- Notify the Sanitation Team Leader or on-duty mechanic of any malfunctioning equipment.
- Inspect completed cleaning jobs and correct any substandard conditions.
- Comply with Amy’s Kitchen employee handbook, safety manual, and GMP booklet.
- Be certified to operate a forklift and a scissors lift.
- Monitor water usage during cleaning tasks.

Education And/or Experience
- Recent experience with physically demanding job duties, including consistent heavy lifting
- General labor experience
- Sanitation or janitorial experience is an asset
Language Skills
- Must be able to read and identify chemical labels and fill out forms
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions
Physical Demands
The role requires walking on wet floors, climbing stairs, handling cleaning chemicals, and working in wet and warm environments. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to push/pull heavy equipment is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Work Environment
Work may involve moving mechanical parts, exposure to strong cleaning chemicals, and hot/cold/humid conditions. The environment is typically loud due to equipment and processes.
