What you will do
- Assist the Director of Human Resources with a variety of HR functions and fill all hourly positions in a timely manner.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of paperwork and enforcement of company policies.
- Assist with benefits administration and workers’ compensation duties.
- Administer insurance benefits, explain benefits, assist with enrollment forms, and answer questions.
- Compile review lists, turnover reports, payroll information, and wage surveys; audit hours worked for eligibility of benefits.
- Conduct prescreening interviews and respond to unemployment claims; maintain related logbooks.
- Maintain logbooks for new hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, and attendance; participate in Leave of Absence management.
- Coordinate recruitment advertising and maintain advertising and logbooks; assist with orientation and onboarding.
- Assist with training modules and HR-related SOP compliance; participate in enrichment committee and property orientation.
- Support special projects and employee events; coordinate Travel Reduction Program and related transportation surveys.
- Maintain First Aid log and support general HR activities as requested by management.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of progressive Human Resources experience in a hotel or related industry required.
- Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
- College coursework in a related field is helpful; high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be able to work long hours and perform sedentary tasks; physical ability to lift up to 10 pounds as needed.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to interact with employees and guests in a courteous, service-oriented manner.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines; maintain confidentiality of information.
- Maintain regular attendance, participate in required meetings and trainings, and support hotel operations with a professional demeanor.
Pay Range - $55,000.00 - $65,000.00
