Overview

Merchandiser/Cashier role at O\'Reilly Auto Parts. Greet customers on the sales floor, assist with locating merchandise, and direct them to a parts specialist when needed. Process checkouts and deter shoplifting. Maintain front-area stock and ensure displays follow planograms.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on the sales floor and assist them in locating merchandise or direct them to a parts specialist for hard parts.
• Check in, price, and stock merchandise.
• Keep merchandise on the display floor fronted, full, and clean daily.
• Make display changes according to company guidelines and planograms.
• Update out-front price changes and ensure sale signs and sale merchandise are in place; restock as needed.
• Remove sale materials when sales end and restore original pricing.
• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
• Collaborate with the store manager to complete the To Do List and Team Weekly tasks.
• Act as main shoplifting deterrent and front floor security.
• Assist with O\'Reilly Image Maker responsibilities.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Cashier duties: check out customers quickly and friendly; handle returns; assist with tickets and payments when the express lane is not in use.

Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities

• Required: Good aptitude for numbers; strong interpersonal communication skills; good organizational skills.
• Desired: Previous cashier and/or stocking experience; ability to drive manual transmission vehicle; fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
