Overview
Krispy Kreme is seeking Assistant Managers who want to inspire customer wonder. You will work in partnership with the General Manager to create a WOW experience for customers, provide shop operations support, foster a culture of teamwork, develop staff members, and meet or exceed shop goals. The long-term objective is to develop your skills on your journey to becoming a General Manager at Krispy Kreme.
Since its founding in 1937, Krispy Kreme’s focus has remained the same: making fresh doughnuts using our founder’s original recipe. The brand’s iconic Hot Light signals when doughnuts are being made so customers can enjoy them hot, right off the line.
Responsibilities
- Manage and build a team of customer-focused employees through coaching, measurement, and fostering teamwork.
- Assist the General Manager in recruiting, hiring, training, onboarding, and resolving disputes among team members.
- Maintain knowledge of products and current promotions.
- Assist with in-shop accounting functions, including cash handling, completing corporate financial and operational reporting, counting and depositing revenues, and managing inventory control.
- Ensure equipment and resources are operational for team use, including production equipment, POS system, retail equipment, drive-thru, and processing equipment.
- Maintain a high level of shop sanitation and cleanliness.
- Provide exceptional customer service by fostering a culture where everyone’s authentic identities are welcomed and valued.
Your Recipe for Success
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five (5) years of experience in a role involving food service or retail industry.
- Commitment to nurturing an equitable, unbiased culture where team members are empowered to showcase their originality.
- At least 2 years of management experience.
- Must be 21 years of age or over.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Travel Requirements: 0-10%.
- Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Shop environment with fluctuating temperatures and noise levels; exposure to internal and external environmental conditions; potential allergens including nuts.
- Non-air-conditioned production area; production and processing noise.
