Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Travel Position Location: Asheville, NC Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3×12 Days Pay: $2,080.80/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts) Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Asheville, NC. The PCU RN will provide high-quality care to patients with complex medical conditions requiring close monitoring and specialized interventions. Key Responsibilities Deliver patient-centered nursing care to PCU patients. Monitor and respond promptly to changes in patient conditions. Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans. Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress. Educate patients and families about treatment plans, recovery processes, and discharge instructions. Qualifications Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact state. Minimum of 2 years of recent PCU experience (travel experience preferred). Current BLS and ACLS certifications (additional facility-required certifications as applicable). Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test. Strong critical-thinking, assessment, and communication skills. Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical settings and procedures.
