Join a dedicated team at a 127-bed Level III Trauma hospital located in the beautiful coastal town of Coos Bay, Oregon. This facility is the largest hospital on the Southern Coast, serving a diverse community of over 320,000 residents. You will be part of a collaborative Oncology service line affiliated with Oregon Health & Sciences University and the OHSU Knight Cancer Network. With access to cutting-edge services such as radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and clinical trials, you will enhance comprehensive care for patients in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Full-time, day shift with four 10-hour shifts; no nights or weekends.
- Participate in shared paid call duties.
- Focus on outpatient care with occasional inpatient consults.
- Function as a member of the clinical patient care team, performing relevant medical procedures.
- Utilize advanced skills in communication, problem-solving, and teamwork to provide high-quality patient care.
- Maintain a strong focus on confidentiality, independence, and professionalism.
- Effectively use electronic medical records and other software applications.
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
- AONCP certification in progress or completed (Required for NP candidates).
- Experience in oncology settings, both inpatient and outpatient, is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated excellent clinical acumen and interpersonal skills.
- Physical agility to meet patient care needs and maintain professional standards.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Oregon state license or willingness to obtain (Required).
- Clean malpractice history/background.
- Submission of the NPDB self-query report at the time of application.
