The Human Resources Generalist position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HR Generalist proactively supports the delivery of HR processes for the assigned business unit.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular meetings with respective business units and line management, to provide consultative HR guidance and policy interpretation.
  • Provide day-to-day employee relations and performance management guidance to line management to improve work relationships and increase productivity and retention.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the human resources department to develop policies, programs, and solutions.
  • Manage and mediate moderately complex employee relations issues.
  • Provide support to managers to improve work relationships and increase productivity and retention.
  • Coordinate compensation terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
  • Assist international employees with visa requirements.
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and recruitment.
  • Administer annual performance review process.
  • Assist in administration of health and welfare plan enrollments and related administrative updates.
  • Participate in the planning and development of HR department initiatives.
  • Assist Managers with recruitment and interview process.
  • Schedule and conduct new employee orientation.
  • Conduct records audits and reporting.
  • Support Employee Wellness initiatives including planning and organizing activities.
  • Complete other duties and related projects as assigned.
  • Ability to perform the duties described above.

Qualifications

  • Related BS/BA degree or equivalent level/ years of training and experience. HR certification (PHR/ SHRM-CP) desired
  • Five or more years of direct experience in Human Resources, California based experience required.
  • Employee Relations experience required.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize work to manage time effectively.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience utilizing HRIS and ATS talent management systems. Paycom experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate well with people of diverse cultural professional and experiential backgrounds.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Healthcare industry experience highly desired.
