Overview

Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region is currently seeking a full-time Sales Floor Department Manager for the Wilkinson Blvd. ReStore. This role is a 40 hour per week position. Department Managers are key carrying members of management responsible for assisting in daily operations, monitoring sales goals and objectives, cash handling, opening/closing the store, providing leadership to a team of staff and volunteers, and maintaining exceptional customer service. Responsibilities

Manage daily department operations to ensure the ReStore meets sales goals and objectives Consistently provide an exceptional level of internal and external customer service Guarantee safe and prompt handling of merchandise and donations according to processes, policies, and procedures Operate a cash register periodically, as needed Assist in the receiving of items dropped off when assistance is needed on the receiving dock Provide supervision and uphold a safe and clean environment for employees, volunteers and customers Demonstrate a positive and respectful attitude when interacting with employees, customers, donors, volunteers and the public Be an effective team member when working with staff and volunteers, ensuring engagement and motivation of others Represent Habitat in a positive, professional manner Key-Carrying Supervisor responsible for independently opening and closing the store, and cash handling procedures Read, count, and accurately complete end-of-day documentation Document and conduct corrective action as needed Ensure a meaningful volunteer experience Adhere to schedule and maintain regular attendance Maintain a presentable appearance and ReStore-appropriate attire Adhere to Habitat’s Code of Conduct and other policies Perform Habitat of the Charlotte Region-related tasks as requested by supervisor Qualifications

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned) included Education/Skills

Basic computer skills Basic math or POS experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Management and customer service experience Show initiative Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to move merchandise throughout the store Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted, 70 lbs with assistance Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, Saturdays, and periodic holidays Ability to obtain Forklift Certification and operate a forklift regularly Ability to climb steps to forklift cab Internal Interactions

Habitat Staff Estimated Time Commitment

40 hours/week Level of Authority

Requires minimal supervision Ability to engage and motivate staff as well as hold team members accountable in conjunction with store management Reports to the Store Manager Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region is a drug-free workplace. A pre-employment drug screen and clean background check is required.
