Logistics Manager position at Aston Carter. The Manager of Logistics and Inventory Control leads staff and oversees logistics operations, inventory control, materials management, and distribution activities. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate flow of products, maintaining inventory levels to meet demand, coordinating transportation, optimizing the supply chain, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has strong experience in logistics management, inventory control systems, and a Customs Broker License (LCB) to manage international logistics and regulatory compliance effectively. Key Responsibilities

Logistics Management: Oversee end-to-end logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution of medical device components and beauty packaging components. Ensure shipment status reporting and resolution of outbound shipments; work cross-functionally with sourcing on inbound shipments for planning. Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards. Manage and build relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and transportation partners to ensure timely delivery and cost-effective solutions. Ensure import operations comply with FDA, USDA, and other industry regulations. Act as primary point of contact for customs clearance and oversee international shipments and global trade compliance. Expand and manage global distribution network and improve customer experience for international customers. Carrier negotiations: billing approvals, carrier selection, performance management, and RFQ processes. Manage special logistics programs (Foreign Trade Zone, CTPAT, FDA, CBP) and HTSUS code determination and ERP database management. Inventory Control & Materials Management

Develop and implement inventory control strategies to maintain optimal levels while minimizing excess stock and stockouts. Oversee physical inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy. Implement and manage an automated inventory system, collaborating with IT to optimize tracking and reporting. Regulatory Compliance & Documentation

Ensure all logistics and inventory operations comply with regulatory requirements in the medical device and beauty packaging industries. Maintain accurate shipment and distribution records for audits and regulatory purposes. Develop and maintain SOPs for logistics and inventory management in line with industry standards. Supply Chain Optimization

Continuously assess and improve logistics and inventory processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, standardize pack-outs, and improve service levels. Identify and resolve bottlenecks and coordinate with other departments to align with market demand and customer requirements. Collaborate with procurement, sales, and customer experience teams to ensure inventory alignment with business goals. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Lead, coach, and develop a team of logistics and inventory professionals; conduct performance reviews and foster a collaborative, results-driven environment. Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and best practices in logistics and inventory management. Collaborate with sales, procurement, and customer experience teams; provide regular updates to senior leadership on inventory levels and logistics performance; build strong relationships with vendors and suppliers. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field. 7+ years of experience in logistics and inventory control, with 3–5 years in a leadership role. Strong experience in supply chain management, warehouse operations, and distribution logistics. Customs Broker License (LCB) required; knowledge of customs regulations, import/export requirements, and international trade laws. Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., D365) and supply chain software. Familiarity with FDA, USDA and other regulatory requirements in medical device or healthcare sectors. Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams and external partners. Microsoft Office and ERP proficiency. Experience Level

Fully onsite in Ronkonkoma, NY Pay & Benefits

Pay range: $110,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year. Eligibility for benefits may depend on position, classification, and length of employment.
