Overview

The Cybersecurity Analyst provides technical expertise and advice on all areas of security technology, including: network security, platform security, authentication/authorization systems, application security, security architecture, policy enforcement, and security frameworks; works with appropriate personnel to create a practical, scalable, and secure model for enterprise applications, networks, and services; researches, evaluates, designs, tests, recommends, and plans implementation of new and/or improved information security.

Responsibilities

  • Develops technical documentation of systems; provides documentation for all operational processes including policies, procedures, routine maintenance, and disciplines.
  • Works with departmental and Information Systems staff to ensure that cyber security program operates accurately, reliably, and efficiently; ensures that cyber security for the organization operates within Best Practice guidelines.
  • Provides technical expertise and advice on all areas of security technology, including: network security, platform security, authentication/authorization systems, application security, security architecture, policy enforcement, and security frameworks.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans, processes, and procedures for critical security systems; researches, evaluates, designs, tests, recommends, and plans implementation of new and/or improved information security; develops and documents processes to update, expand or maintain a high level of support.
  • Engages in efforts to contain costs and improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness of services; assists in budget targets and compliance with annual budget plan; identifies program or service growth opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years related experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (must be obtained within 18 months of hire)
