Delivery Driver role at The Parts Authority.

We have immediate career opportunities for Delivery Drivers in our rapidly expanding division. Company vehicle provided. Hourly rate: $16.50. Location: Huntington Station, NY. Responsibilities

• Load, transport, and deliver items to customers or businesses in a timely, friendly and courteous manner.
• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure completeness, correct charges, and customer satisfaction.
• Follow dispatcher directions, adhere to routes and schedules, use navigation apps, and know the area to deliver on time.
• Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles without interfering with store or customer operations.
• Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and professionally handle complaints and concerns.
• Abide by transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Accept payments, prepare reports (invoices, return forms), reconcile money related to deliveries.
• Complete daily vehicle maintenance checks when applicable and notify the manager of issues.
• Assist in store/warehouse duties (stocking, parts pulling, etc.) as assigned.
• Maintain and promote workplace safety, secure and transfer cash or assets as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Current, valid driver’s license
• Must meet company insurance requirements (drivers must be 21+)
• Current valid automobile insurance with your name on the policy
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds; knowledge of ability for heavier lifting (75 lbs for Auto Body Parts Collision Drivers)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to manage money transactions and reconcile customer balances
• Ability to use a tablet/mobile device for navigation, tracking, and signature capture
• Exceptional customer and verbal communication skills
• Ability to follow directions and work well in a team
• Flexible schedule with overtime as needed
• Previous delivery driving experience is a plus
• You must meet all minimum requirements to be eligible to drive for Parts Authority
