Job Summary: The Loading Dock Worker position has a variety of assignments based on training level and business needs to support the goals of the Concord, NH Warehouse. This description outlines the duties a Loading Dock Worker may perform.
Hours: 5:30pm – 2:00am. Days off: Saturday and one rotating day off.
Essential Functions:
- Review load sheets for delivery routes and verify correct product(s) and amounts are loaded to assigned trailers.
- Rotate product in warehouse to ensure correct coded product is shipped to minimize waste and returns.
- Remove damaged goods to ensure only quality product is shipped to customers.
- Load products safely using equipment such as pushers, squeeze trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks; ensure loads are properly secured and evenly distributed.
- Prepare loads accurately while maintaining an efficient pace.
- Identify and pick inventory for loading and staging based on customer load sheets, including picking corrugated and un-corrugated product (up to 45 lbs) from shelves, moving heavy cases (up to 200 lbs), and placing products on wheeled racks.
- Unload trucks/trailers using a hook or pallet jack; perform related manual labor (up to 200 lbs and racks up to 800 lbs).
- Pull empty and full milk cases stacked up to 7 high (up to 200 lbs) with repetition.
- Manually remove product from conveyors, then package or stage to maintain production flow.
- Dispose of returned product by manual disposal.
- Wash trailers/trucks after unloading.
- Collaborate with managers, supervisors, and peers to complete tasks.
General:
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures; demonstrate knowledge from safety orientation.
- Execute duties with minimal supervision; available for required overtime to support business needs.
- Perform duties satisfactorily and in a timely manner; follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Participate in special warehouse teams; maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- GED or High School Diploma preferred
- Reading and writing proficiency (English) and ability to identify colors
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Multitasking ability
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. The pay range for this position is $25.48 - $27.83 USD
