Responsibilities and Expectations
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and throughout their stay.
- Use guests\' names when possible to enhance welcome.
- Contribute to high guest satisfaction scores as part of the team.
- Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency.
- Develop strong knowledge of hotel facilities and amenities.
- Support events and groups hosted at the hotel.
- Understand relevant technology for the role.
- Maintain phone etiquette with friendly service and approved greetings.
- Maintain spotless cleanliness and sparkling workspaces; keep all areas clean and organized.
- Share cleaning duties as needed to ensure a safe, well-organized hotel environment.
- Greet guests during cleaning with a smile and, if possible, by name.
- Follow checklists accurately and complete handover reports on time.
- Wear clean, approved uniform with nametag and maintain professional appearance.
- Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members.
- Demonstrate a can-do attitude and willingness to collaborate to meet guest and business needs.
Section Two: Night Auditor – Role Specific Duties
- Audit Management: Complete and distribute audit-related reports by the designated time on the overnight checklist.
- Security: Follow overnight security procedures, including locking exterior entrances at designated times and handling safety issues per protocol.
- Incoming Mail: Record and note all incoming mail per the daily shift checklist.
Section Three: Success Metrics
- Happy Guests: Management performance ratings; guest satisfaction scores and intent to return.
- Spotless Cleanliness: GM/AGM spot checks; leadership walk-throughs; guest ratings.
- Product Consistency & Quality: Checklist tracking; management performance ratings; guest ratings.
- Teamwork: Management performance ratings.
Section Four: Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to work well under pace and pressure.
- Effective listening and conflict resolution; clear communication skills.
- Hospitality and guest service mindset.
- Age 18+ to perform this job.
- Willingness to work varied schedules including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Clock-in/out promptly; no working off the clock.
- Breaks: clock in/out for breaks as scheduled.
- Provide notice when calling out as directed by supervisor.
Physical Demands & Working Environment
The duties require standing or staying in a stationary position for extended periods; ability to type, operate computers and equipment; ability to lift up to 25 pounds; flexibility to move around the hotel and rooms as needed. The work environment is typically moderate in noise level.
Language & Reasoning Skills
- Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English.
