We are currently seeking a skilled Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physician's Assistant) specializing in Critical Care. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality patient care in critical situations. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring positive patient outcomes and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team. You will be involved in a variety of critical care projects, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care. Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments in critical care settings. Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Monitor and evaluate patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and recovery. Assist in emergency procedures and rapid response situations. Document patient care accurately and timely in medical records. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Requirements:
Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician's Assistant (PA) license. Previous experience in critical care or a related field is preferred. Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care. Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Schedule: 6p-7a or 6a-7p, weekday and weekend shifts available Multiple facility locations Patient Volume: 10-15 per day Procedures: Airway management, including endotracheal intubation, extraglottic device placement, and safe use of RSI medications Will interpret ABGs, CXRs, ultrasounds, and chest CTs Support Staff: RNs, care coordinators, consultant groups EMR: Epic Must be board-certified Paid travel & lodging
