Cardiac Surgery PRN Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Piedmont Atlanta Hospital Piedmont Heart Institute is recruiting for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the cardiac surgery team providing excellent patient care to our surgical patients. This is a PRN opportunity with shifts as needed. You will join a team of thirteen advanced practice providers and solely focus on cardiac surgery. Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI) provides the full line of cardiovascular services with dedicated electrophysiology, transplant, advanced heart failure, critical care, interventional, surgical and research services.

Responsibilities

Round on postoperative patients

Provide office consults one day per week with a designated surgeon

EVH and chest closure in the OR

Thoracentesis and chest tube insertion and care

Provide care to LVAD patients

Qualifications

1-2 years of cardiac surgery/EVH experience

Master's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited PA program and National Board Certification

Or licensed as a nurse and approved to practice as a NP by the State of Georgia with National Certification
