Serve as the face-to-face point of contact for patients Register and financially clear patients by obtaining all necessary information Greet patients and family members and verify relevant information during registration and financial clearance Enhance the patient experience by acting as the customer service point of contact at the point of service Demonstrate knowledge of Sutter Health system and service offerings Qualifications

Education: HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) Typical Experience: 1 year of recent relevant experience Skills and Knowledge: General knowledge of patient access, financial counseling, and functions in acute and non-acute settings Working knowledge of insurance and medical terminology EMTALA and Consent Laws knowledge Time management and ability to manage frequent in-person patient contacts while documenting data in patient registration systems Experience with multiple computer systems (patient registration/accounting systems, telephone consoles, document imaging, scanning, payment posting, proprietary payer websites, data quality monitoring) Verbal and written communication and active listening skills Attention to detail, decision-making and problem-solving abilities Ability to work concurrently on multiple tasks in a diverse environment Ability to meet or exceed targeted customer service, productivity, and quality standards Computer proficiency; ability to handle confidential information Job Details
