The CT Tech operates computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-sectional images for diagnostic purposes, prepares patients, and works with radiologists to obtain high-quality images while following safety procedures. Responsibilities
Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes Prepare patients for procedures, explain the imaging process, and position patients appropriately Set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology Provide high-quality images to Radiologists for interpretation Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment to ensure proper functionality Document patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately in the hospital’s system Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services Adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various healthcare facilities Qualifications
