The Boeing Company seeks an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team in Herndon, VA to design and maintain system architectures, program requirements, interface specifications, and system testing as an integrated part of agile teams and contribute across the entire product lifecycle. Primary Responsibilities
Support and lead requirements management, development, analyses, decomposition, allocation, testing, validation, and verification, as well as systems architecture, model based systems engineering (MBSE), and CONOPS development. Partner with subject matter experts and technology experts to understand technology development and integration into current state and future goals for increased functionality, performance, testability, verification, and validation. Support and lead the definition of functional architecture and modeling needs and coordinate efforts across teams to meet deliverables and program milestones. Interface with customers and program management and leadership for systems engineering and integration and test teams. Participate in all aspects of systems engineering for current and future phases of the program with design, qualification, and production (end-to-end lifecycle). Follow and implement best practices in systems engineering, integration, and test to understand intent and ensure successful product development and production. Mentor junior systems engineers to instill cross-functional skills in systems engineering, integration, and test. Security and Basic Qualifications Active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). An active clearance in the past 24 months is considered active. Years of related experience: 3+ (level 3), 5+ (level 4), 10+ (level 5). Systems Engineering experience. Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% domestically. Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science. Preferred Qualifications Model Based Engineering (MBSE) experience. Experience with Requirements Management systems such as DOORS. 3+ years of experience with requirements verification. Experience generating content for and presenting at design reviews (e.g., PDR or CDR). Typical Education & Experience Level 3: typically 5+ years of related work experience with a relevant bachelor degree or equivalent. Level 4: typically 9+ years of related work experience with a relevant bachelor degree or equivalent. Level 5: typically 14+ years of related work experience with a relevant bachelor degree or equivalent. Other Details
