As a
Principal Producer
on
League of Legends , you’ll lead passionate, cross-functional teams focused on delivering high-impact features and systems that shape the player experience across the game’s front-end. You’ll help evolve and maintain the foundational technology and user-facing interfaces that power League, ensuring they remain performant, cohesive, and player-focused.
This role is deeply embedded in the core of League’s long-term health and evolution. You’ll work closely with engineers, UX and UI designers, and product leads to improve tools, improve the client experience, and support new features on top of League’s proprietary engine and tech stack. You’ll report to the Director of Production for League of Legends.
Responsibilities
Own initiative-level production for UX, UI, and systems-focused development within League’s game client and engine environment
Partner with product, engineering, UX, UI, and design leads to define strategic goals and translate them into clear roadmaps and execution plans
Help improve legacy technology while supporting feature teams with scalable workflows and stable front-end foundations
Guide planning and prioritization across complex cross-team dependencies involving proprietary tools, tech, and player-facing surfaces
Facilitate clear communication across disciplines, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned on scope, timelines, and deliverables
Maintain and improve team operating cadence—running rituals, tracking work, and ensuring the team is empowered to deliver
Identify blockers early, resolve production risks, and champion sustainable development practices
Drive quality tracking and accountability across both the backend systems and front-end interfaces players interact with
Act as a mentor and coach to producers and team members across the initiative, helping scale production craft and team effectiveness
Required Qualifications
A minimum of 8 years of professional production experience, including leadership of cross-disciplinary teams
Experience working on large-scale live games with ongoing content, systems, or front-end improvements
Strong familiarity with UX/UI development lifecycles and best practices, particularly in games or real-time environments
Proven ability to manage schedules, dependencies, and cross-functional collaboration, especially across proprietary engine tech
Experience working closely with engineering and design to support both foundational systems and polished user experiences
Desired Qualifications
Experience working with custom or proprietary engines, and a clear understanding of the challenges of building tools and interfaces within them
Understanding of the League of Legends player base, especially around pain points, usability, and the in-client experience
Familiarity with production tools like JIRA, Confluence, and internally built pipeline tools
Strong communication and alignment skills across product, tech, and UX disciplines
