Senior Manager Software Engineering - Observability at CoreWeave. CoreWeave is the AI Hyperscaler delivering a cloud platform of cutting-edge services powering AI workloads. As the leader in Observability, you will lead the development of our Observability insights product suite for AI/ML workloads. This is a highly technical and strategic role that requires building, scaling, and delivering observability insights, collaborating with Product and Engineering to provide a unified experience across CoreWeave products. Responsibilities
Define and drive CoreWeave’s Observability insights roadmap and strategy. Lead and grow a high-performing team of software engineers and managers. Use AI technologies to build solutions that provide customers with insights for rapid troubleshooting of AI workloads. Champion initiatives to improve reliability, durability, and self-healing capabilities of Observability metrics and assume operational responsibilities. Develop operational review practices to assess performance against targets and iterate on those targets. Mentor and guide engineering teams on best practices in product engineering, fostering a customer-focused approach to systems design and technical excellence. Qualifications
7+ years of experience in infrastructure or cloud systems. 3+ years in engineering leadership roles, including hiring, scaling, and mentoring teams. Proven track record of building and managing product insights using AI tools and techniques. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to convey storage engineering strategies to technical and non-technical audiences. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Prior experience in managing through a manager. Prior experience in building telemetry solutions (logging, metrics, tracing) is a plus. Practical knowledge of agentic tools and systems is a plus. Understanding of cloud computing infrastructure using Kubernetes is a plus. Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range: $188,000 to $275,000. Starting salary determined by knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Total rewards include a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (eligible).
