Data Developer role at CGI

Overview CGI is seeking a skilled Data Developer with strong PL/SQL, Python, and Snowflake experience to support high-impact data integration and analytics in the investment risk space. In this role, you’ll collaborate with quantitative teams, build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, and ensure data accuracy across complex systems. This is a Full Time Employment Opportunity located in Merrimack, NH or Boston, MA in a Hybrid Model.

Responsibilities

Develop, optimize, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using PL/SQL, Python, and Snowflake.

Design and implement data integration solutions between various internal systems and external data sources.

Collaborate with Risk and Quantitative teams to understand data needs related to risk pricing, exposure calculations, and performance metrics.

Create and manage complex stored procedures, functions, and scripts in Oracle and Snowflake environments.

Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems.

Monitor data jobs and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks or failures.

Assist in the migration of legacy systems to cloud-based platforms like Snowflake.

Contribute to the development of data models that support analytics and reporting needs in the investment risk space.

Follow best practices for data security, quality, and governance.

Required Qualifications

6+ years of software development experience

Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL development including complex queries, stored procedures/functions/triggers

Ability to troubleshoot and optimize SQL queries for performance

Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data integration workflows

Experience with large datasets and complex data models

Hands-on experience with Snowflake – writing SQL, managing data pipelines

Basic Python scripting, automation, and data manipulation

Knowledge of version control systems like Git

Strong communication and documentation skills

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Ability to bring innovative ideas forward while aligning with team consensus

Education Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field

Compensation and Benefits Note: CGI provides a reasonable estimate of compensation range and benefits information. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $68,100.00 - $150,800.00.
