Poplar Bluff School District Qualifications: Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Education or experience in Special Education. Must hold a valid Missouri Teaching Certification. Must adhere to all local, state and federal regulations. This person will abide by all rules and regulations established by Poplar Bluff R-1 Board of Education. Reports To: Building Principal, Director of Special Services, and Associate Superintendent of Personnel. Job Goal: Increase the time teachers spend on the instructional process. Improve in the area of instruction and achievement. Improve in the area of compliance. Performance Responsibilities

Develop and write all IEP documents with input from teachers and complete all necessary forms for the meeting. Serve as LEA at all IEP meetings, except when the process coordinator is designated as LEA. Secure signed letters from parents to obtain scripts for OT, PT and speech for evaluations yearly with assistance from the Speech/Language Pathologist. Complete and send to the assistant of the Director of Special Services Office the following forms: New Student forms, Change of Information forms, Service Summary changes and Exit forms. Complete all data for Student Information System (SIS), approve and lock all IEPs that are developed or changed in the computer system. Complete the initial placement for all new IEP students. Administer all IEP meetings for students in designated school. Coordinate due dates, meeting dates with times, send meeting notes, and contact parents when needed. Complete all transfer students' enrollment and exit forms with previous school districts. Conduct file reviews each semester in designated buildings and when IEPs are due. Secure and keep designated files and student information confidential and locked. Assist both regular education and special education teachers with Modifications and Accommodations in the classroom. Inform personnel of any transportation needs for extended school year students. Secure and keep updated forms for each of the buildings that you are responsible for. Attend staffing for evaluation (as needed), DNQ (as needed). Attend transition meetings as deemed and initial meetings as necessary. All duties assigned by the Director of Special Education. Terms Of Employment

Salary and work year will be in accordance to the current teacher salary schedule. Extra contracted days may be added to the IEP facilitator contract. Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of professional personnel. Essential Function Of The Job

Must be physically mobile between and in buildings. Must be able to lift and carry classroom materials, test kits. Must be able to communicate (both verbally and written) with teachers, administrators, the state department and the U.S. Department of Education. Must hold valid driver's license and be able to travel to buildings within the district. Seniority level
